About Hannah
My name is Hannah and I am a 3rd year Astronomy PhD student at Durham University, where I am currently researching gravitational lensing.
I have taught lessons in various different formats throughout my entire academic journey, from GCSE revision classes up to university undergraduate workshops. My main focus is always to ensure that you have a deep understanding of the topic that we are learning, but that you also feel supported and listened to. I am more than happy to work together to find your unique learning style to make sure that our lessons together are both effective and enjoyable.

I have lots of experience teaching complicated astronomy and mathematical concepts to students, from GCSEs to university undergraduate level. I can help you with an in-depth understanding of topics alongside quick memory hacks and handy diagrams. I am familiar with lots of different approaches to teaching and will always be happy to help to find your own unique methods of learning, whilst encouraging you to develop your own problem solving skills. We can discuss what methods you will find the most useful, but this could include practice questions, mini-exams, working through solutions together, academic discussions, presentations etc.
My lessons typically last an hour (but we can discuss together what lesson length you would find the most useful) and also explore the best methodology for you to really get the most out of the time.
