About Rehana

At present, I'm working as an Assistant Professor of English. I am a research scholar, currently working on Environmental Humanism. I've got a post-graduation degree in English literature from the University of Calcutta. During my PG, I have managed to secure the first position in my batch (2017-19). I am also TEFL and TESOL qualified from Canada Board Exam. In the field of tutoring as far as experience is concerned, I've been privately tutoring students for the past 5 years and with my systematic and organised ways of teaching, my students improved and performed better. I specialise in English but also give classes for History (ICSE), Literature (every level) & Commerce (ICSE).

About the lesson

I teach in a very systematic and organized way. I follow a formative method of teaching, in which I basically follow the syllabus strictly, complete them in parts then I form the test paper of the part which I've completed. I take the test, see the progress of the student, if any loopholes are found, then I follow differential form of teaching and make room for improvement and then, proceed further with the syllabus. Likewise, I complete the syllabus thoroughly and this method also helps me to keep a track on the progress of the student and make them perform better by pointing out and rectifying their errors. My method of teaching also depends on the ability and level of the student, based on that I decide whether to put them in the category of beginner or intermediate. According to the category, I prescribe curriculum to my students, work on their overall improvement and eventual successful endeavor. My primary goal as a responsible teacher is to improve the weak points of my students, work on their holistic development, share my knowledge, explore their untapped potential and make the tedious process of learning as fun as possible.
