• When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  My passion for English began in my teenage years when I realized how language could open doors to understanding other cultures and connecting with people worldwide. Over time, this passion evolved into a love for teaching — helping others gain the same confidence and freedom that comes with mastering English. Private tutoring became my way to personalize the learning experience, focusing on each student’s unique goals and challenges.

• ell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  I teach English across all levels — from grammar and pronunciation to advanced communication, business English, and IELTS preparation. My favorite lessons are those focused on conversation and real-life application — helping students speak naturally and confidently. I’m less enthusiastic about mechanical memorization; instead, I prefer creative, interactive learning that keeps students engaged.

• Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  Yes, one of my high school English teachers completely changed my view of language learning. She treated English not just as a subject but as a tool for self-expression. Her passion and creativity inspired me to adopt a similar approach — one that empowers students to express themselves freely rather than just follow grammar rules.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  Patience, empathy, and adaptability are essential. Every student learns differently, and a great tutor knows how to tailor their approach to fit that. Consistency and positive energy are also key — students feel your attitude, so I always aim to create a safe, encouraging, and motivating atmosphere.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  I once had a student who could understand English perfectly but refused to speak because of fear of mistakes. After weeks of playful speaking exercises, roleplays, and laughter, she finally gave a full presentation in English — with confidence and joy. That moment reminded me why I love teaching: it’s not just about words, it’s about unlocking courage.

• What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still face in your subject?

  One of the main challenges is helping students unlearn the fear of speaking “wrongly.” Many have learned in rigid systems focused only on exams. My goal is to rebuild their confidence and remind them that language is for communication, not perfection.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  Beyond teaching English, I’m passionate about communication and self-development. I see language as part of a bigger picture — building confidence, clarity, and presence. That’s why my lessons often include mindset coaching and real-world communication strategies.

  I combine linguistic expertise with creativity and empathy. I don’t just teach English — I teach people how to use it to transform their lives.
