About María
I have been living in Bedford for the past 2 years as I'm currently PhD at Cranfield University. My passion since I was 7 years old has been painting and is an activity to which I have dedicated all my life. Portrait drawing and oil paintings are my specialty but I also cover other techniques, from watercolor to pastel.

My approach would be to recreate in my house the studio I used to attend for more than 20 years in Spain. I like to put classical music in the background to help concentrate and unlock creativity. I will provide all materials with the exception of the support (art book or canvas) for which I can give recommendations after the first class. I offer tea and biscuits to treat my students, just as we used to do at Lastra's Studio. We can have an individual or a group class.
My goal is to make my students feel comfortable and guide them to make the most of their skills in any technique of their choice, we can vary from one session to another. Everyone has their own style, I will help find it. Art is a channel for self-development, although at the same time it could be a fun activity and a form of evasion.
Perseverance, concentration, creativity, self-worth, relaxation are bonus skills that will be obtained through my classes.
Ideally 2h 30 min per session would be needed (Minimum 1h 30 min)
