About Altair

I am an Art History PhD student at Stanford University offering lessons in Art History, History, English Literature, and UK and US university applications. I've been giving lessons for 2 years and taught both school and college students. Having gained my undergraduate and master's degree from Oxford and now studying for a PhD in the US, I have extensive experience of both college systems and thus can guide your university applications at all degree levels and tailor them to the expectations of each institution in different countries. My students have come from across the globe and I always meet them at their level and then push them further to achieve their best results.

About the lesson

I improve my students' grades by tailoring tutorials closely to the mark schemes of their exams, building up the taught material in line with the exam board's specification and guidelines. This ensures that my students know what they need to do for their exams and coursework and enable them to achieve their best possible grades.

For university applications, I take them through precisely the requirements needed and explain the explicit and implicit demands of the application. I go over students' personal statements and submitted work with a rigorous eye for quality so that they can get into the very best universities.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the students of Altair.
