Teaching federal language candidates began when I noticed a gap in how adult learners approached complex grammar and nasal sounds. York University granted me a Bachelor of Education in Second Language Teaching that grounded my practice in linguistics. 13 years of teaching in the field have provided me with a deep perspective on Canadian official language requirements.
I work with hobbyists, teens, and advanced learners who navigate French immersion programs or professional exams. My practice centers on the nuance of cultural context alongside the technical mechanics of speech. I have worked with numerous students during my career to refine their pronunciation and grasp of everyday phrases. Conversational fluency requires more than memorized lists and static drills.
