About Sean
Hi, My name is Sean. I'm currently an Architecture student at the Uni of Manchester and I'm an experienced tutor specialising in STEM and Design subjects such as maths, physics, DT and engineering. I've tutored in my spare time since I started university in 2021, over the last 3 years I've worked with many different students with ages ranging from 11-18, each one responded well to my teaching methods and soon began to show results both academically and also in their overall confidence surrounding exams. GCSE and A Level exams especially are often stressful times for students and so it can be invaluable to have the 1 on 1 support and guidance from a tutor who is deeply familiar with the course content and can help address any weak spots in a way that traditional class-based teaching cannot.

I believe that since every student is unique and learns in their own specific way that it is vital to provide a deeply personalised teaching programme that not only caters to their learning style but also covers the content in which they're most needing of support. I aim to provide this by first having a conversation with the parents about their expectations and what they're hoping to achieve from the tutoring, I then spend the first session discussing the curriculum with the student and determining where they feel their weaknesses lie as well as just generally getting to know them and what methods of teaching and revision work for them. Based on these 2 conversations I can then create a series of specially made lesson plans with practice questions that I believe will give the student everything they need to reach their full potential.
