About Fatima Tarannum
I'm a Bangladeshi artist, born in Saudi Arabia, currently based in Winnipeg, MB, Canada, running my registered small business, Leftycraft By Fatima. I participate in local exhibitions, my work has previously been featured in Islamic Relief Canada Calendar for Change 2026, I recently was also one of the vendors at the TEDxWinnipeg Makers Market 2026 as well as grateful to be featured on their website. I was invited by Healthy Muslim Families, a local organization to conduct an in-person Kids Art Workshop early last year. I'm currently offering my Beginners Art Techniques and Arabic Letters Calligraphy (Thuluth script) classes online via Google Meet. You can check out my creative work here on Instagram @mycanvas23.

I teach my students (Boys 7-12), all girls and women in a very friendly, simple way so even a complete beginner who has never held a paintbrush or has no idea about Arabic calligraphy writing will still learn a new creative skill step by step with personalized and honest feedback and practice. I provide a PDF guide (24 pages for Beginner Art techniques and 56 pages for Arabic Letters Calligraphy Workshop) so you can continue practicing at home even after the workshop is over.
