About Will
Hi, I’m Will. I’m a second-year Economics degree apprentice, studying Economics alongside working for the Office for National Statistics in a macroeconomic insights role.
Studying Economics at degree level while also working with it day to day has helped me build a much deeper understanding of the subject, and I’d like to use that knowledge to help students who may be struggling or simply want to improve their grades.
I strongly believe that Economics is a subject that needs to be understood rather than just memorised. The best way to learn it is by breaking concepts down step by step, understanding why things happen, and then learning how to apply that knowledge effectively in an exam. This is the approach that has helped me succeed in both my studies and my work, and it is the same approach I will use with my students.
I also understand that having a tutor can sometimes feel daunting, especially if you are not confident in a particular topic. My lessons will always be friendly, relaxed and open, where students can ask as many questions as they need without feeling judged.
Through my day-to-day work, I regularly communicate with a range of people and have developed strong interpersonal skills. I enjoy building positive relationships and helping people get the best out of themselves.
If you are struggling with Economics, want to improve your exam technique, or simply want to feel more confident with the subject, my aim is to help you build a stronger understanding and go into your exams feeling much more prepared.

I firmly believe Economics is a subject that requires understanding, not just memorisation. In my lessons, I want to help students build a strong understanding of the key concepts needed to do well in their exams and, most importantly, feel confident when sitting down to complete their exam paper in the summer.
I achieved a Grade A in A-Level Economics and, after two years of studying Economics at undergraduate level, I have achieved an overall First-Class average so far.
My lessons will be friendly and open, with plenty of discussion around any topics you are struggling with. I think one of the most important parts of doing well in Economics is not only understanding the content, but also understanding how questions are marked and what examiners are looking for in your answers.
Because of this, a good proportion of my lessons will focus on exam technique, including how to structure longer answers, build strong chains of analysis, use diagrams effectively and develop evaluation.
Ultimately, my aim is to make Economics feel much more manageable and help students become more confident both with the content and with applying it in an exam.
