About Jennifer
ABOUT ME
I am an exceptionally sensitive and dedicated young woman with passion in developing and building young minds.
I am reliable conscientious and dedicated. I am opening minded and tolerant of all customs, values and traditions. I am patient and polite and do not mind working through things in a caring encouraging way with students. I strive to be prompt and efficient in my teaching methods. I also like to remain approachable. I do not want to make my students feel that I am judgmental or critical rather that I am encouraging and supportive.
My lessons are always lively, filled with enjoyable activities and most importantly my lessons are beneficial to my students. I use various teaching methodologies, props, flash cards and a white board to accomplish the desired goal. I make use of Total Physical Response and Communicative Approach to better convey the knowledge to my student.
I am always polite to my students and I’m patient with them. I pay attention to every detail in my academic environment.

My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that children are unique and special, that each child has something special they can bring to their own education. Children should have an educational environment where they can grow emotionally, socially, mentally and physically.
It is my desire to create a safe educational environment where learners are able to unleash their full potentials, share ideas and take risk if and when needed. As a Science and English teacher who teaches learners in the grades (grade 8-12), I have created a conducive classroom environment where learners are safe and given the opportunity to share their ideas on any science or English topic without fear, I take my learners to field works where they are able to practically see and experiment what they are taught in the classroom and my learners visit the theatres, library or any other institution where they are able to experience English dramas, short stories etc. I have helped my learners achieve their full potential by addressing learning barriers my learners, This I have done by planning for the necessary intervention like the After School Programmes , Holiday Programmes etc.
To further achieve my goal I created a teacher parent interaction where I keep my learners parents
informed about the learner’s progress and encourage parent involvement and guidance on their child’s learning. Prepare an assessment that meets all the assessment guideline and involvement of my learners. I believe learners learn best when they are provided with a variety of learning material and a range of instructional strategies , the use of feedback to check whether how learners received the given instruction. I master the specific instruction that I give my learners, praise learners when they do well and encourage them that they can do better while creating a good teacher/learner relationship, I know my learners not just at a classroom level but on an individual level so as to know why a particular learner behave the way they do, this helps me manage my learners emotions, I have created a teacher/parent relationship where I encourage learners parents to be involved in their child’s education because this will help the learner to always believe in their potential and do their best. I believe that teaching is a vital profession because as a teacher I nurture the young child, I have the passion about developing the self believe of my shyest learner and helping each and every learner achieve their full potential by inspiring tomorrow’s world leader. I always encourage my learners that they can be a better version of themselves, motivate my learners to always reach out for the sky while realizing learners individual potentials, I use education as a tool to fight poverty because without literacy skills and a basic education, families cannot overcome social and economic barriers.
In conclusion I believe teaching is my passion because of my different unique approaches in the classroom, using music and technology to give instruction that makes teaching and learning more fun and well received, I desire to make teaching and learning fun using technologies as a tool globally if opportunities arises.
