About Angelica
I am a senior-level PhD student in applied physiology.
I completed my BS in exercise science with a concentration in nutrition in 2018 and MS in exercise science in 2020. During my masters, I worked as a research assistant, collecting data in 5 different studies focused on physiological responses to exercise.
My PhD work is currently focused in women's cardiovascular health, specifically mechanisms that can contribute to cardiovascular dysfunction following menopause.
I taught undergraduate anatomy and physiology labs for 2 years (4 semesters) and have advised students in strength and conditioning internships.

I have almost 10 years of experience in exercise science and physiology in the academic setting, and an extensive knowledge in anatomy and physiology, nutrition, exercise science and physiology, advanced human physiology, and strength and conditioning.
I employ case studies in my teaching to help apply and highlight the importance of concepts.
I also like to use visual aids in the form of diagrams, pathways, etc. and talking through concepts with students.
