About John
I am 82 years old and have been in this career since I was 31 years old.
I grew up in Fulham London, went to Brunel University and got a Math degree in 1967.
My career jobs started in Turbomachinery research, then moved into solid propellant rocket motors. I became interested in recoilless guns and moved to RARDE Fort Halstead Kent UK. My Final UK job, I became a Principal Engineer on Advanced designs applications.

To start any Math-based job, one must have good arithmetic skills to ensure the calculations are correct. I obtained A grades in my O Levels GCEs and have a degree in Applied Mathematics from Brunel University in 1967. I have had 4 jobs, Turbomachinery Research at Rolls Royce, Solid Propellant rocket motors at RO Summerfield UK, ABOL rocket and recoilless guns at RARDE Fort Halstead Kent UK and finally as Chief Propulsion Engineer at Hunting Engineering Limited Ampthill Beds UK. I have successfully designed and tested rocket motors with burn times from 19ms out 60 seconds.
