About Kalp
Though I'm still a university student, I've spent a total of 6 years already tutoring in my life, with another 3 of those years around professional software engineering in the field (overlapping careers of course). I had tutored grades 1-8 for math and English at Kumon for 3 years, and spent another 3 years tutoring code and robotics at ZebraRobotics. During my time as a university student, I've also worked full-time as an intern at McMaster's Research Center on autonomous vehicles, Ericsson on 5G networking, MILLION.CO for sport branding online, and most recently, Apple's Health team as well! It's this culmination of experiences that makes me the unique tutor I am today!

As a university student working at Apple, I understand the importance of hands-on learning. So as a teacher, I structure my classes to be very interactive, with the students seeing results of their work within the first session. I also have a particular understanding of students requiring their own structured lessons to leverage their best style of learning which is why each of my lectures is catered specifically to the student. There are no hard structured guidelines for how the student will progress and what content they will learn. Whether they learn best through creating simple bookkeeping applications, or developing video games, there is always a good way to learn programming for every student. As a young teacher as well, I love to bring my playful energy into the classroom. There's no better way to learn than from someone who's actively learning every single day!
