About Sofia
I’m a student from Melbourne who graduated with an ATAR of 98.65 in 2018 and a score of 43 in French (VCE) placing me in the equivalent of the top 3% of the state. Languages are my passion, and as someone who used to find French extremely difficult I am excited to pass on my knowledge and resources to other students who may be struggling or may just want that extra boost to help push them over the edge.

I base my teaching around what the student feels they need help with; for example if a student is struggling with a certain area of French grammar I will help them understand and consolidate the grammar, teach them sneaky tips that helped me achieve fluency in French and provide them with resources such as worksheets or posters to help them improve. Additionally, if students are already at a high level or partaking in French for their HSC I can tailor my teaching specifically to the HSC program including both the oral and written components of the exam. Furthermore, if a student is already at a high level of French and wants an extra push I’m more than happy to share with them my resources and knowledge to help build and extend their volcabulary, assign them difficult essay topics and engage in French conversation with them to push them up to the next level and ensure they achieve the best marks they can.
