About Akhona
I am fiercely passionate about languages and although young, I think it important to nurture the ability to communicate in various ways. Afrikaans (besides my native language being IsiZulu) is my most proficient language, apart from English. Patience is imperative in learning a language and I am prepared and more than willing to go at the pace of students however still pushing and encouraging them to do the best they possibly can give within each lesson. I have experienced my fair share of difficulties however perseverance has always gotten me through and I am prepared to motivate students in the same position.

Lessons ensure proficiency in reading, writing and overall confidence in the Afrikaans language. Able to teach in English. Provides accurate walkthrough for various vocabulary. Lessons will start with a recap (where a student is at within their proficiency in the language) and go from there. Lessons are curated to the need of the students, covering various topics and a specific focus within each lesson; e.g., learning past tense in lesson 2.
