About Onkyu
PERSONAL SUMMARY
I am Onkyu, an animator who is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
I have big aspirations for my future career and has in the past collaborated with different artists in game development in Sudbury, Ontario. My role was responsible for creating and extending the production pipeline, which brings my teammates' games to life. On a professional level, I always exploring new avenues and constantly mindful of time restrictions and design requirements.

I tailor all my classes around each student's subjects of interest.
2D-illustration class:
To better understand the student.
Weather it was digital or traditional, I evaluate while a student's redraw a past work alongside myself.
I will take note of the adjustments, like media mastery, color choice, contrast level, line work, etc.
Then, a topic or theme of the week will be assigned for brain-storming process.
Next, we will working on texture, structure and anatomy for concept works.
Classes usually end with a rough drawing to finish in line, color and shade.
Before the start of next class, I review the assignment and give comments.
3D-modeling class:
Student can design their own prop or take an existed concept art to model.
First class: Intro to Autodesk Maya
Second class: Model a small prop or toy
Third class: Troubleshoot, UV Mapping
Fourth class: Texturing, Export
Fifth class: Intro to Autodesk Mudbox / Blender
3D-Sculpting class:
Student can design their own character, location or take an existed concept art to model.
First class: Concept - character / location
