About Emma
I've always been passionate about History and this interest has only grown deeper through my university studies. My particular area of interest is in the history of everyday life, which focusses on marginalised voices and less prominent events, but I'm well versed and interested in more traditional History.
I consistently achieve first class grades in my modules and was named on the Dean's List last year, as well as winning an award for obtaining the best grade of my class.
As well as my interest and proficiency in historical understanding, I'm also a confident academic writer and have much experience in extended writing of my own, and the proofreading of others'.

I'm going into my third year studying for a degree in History at St Andrews and am looking to tutor over the summer. I've studied a wide range of topics throughout my studies, and my higher level understanding aids my explanation of concepts at a GCSE level.
In terms of length, I'm reasonably flexible and willing to offer lessons according to the needs of students.
This is a great time of the year to get a head start before the academic year, whether students are entering their exam years or first beginning GCSE studies.
