About John Colin
Hello! I am an English teacher and American journalist with previous experience in university and high school teaching. I was born and raised in the United States, so I am a native speaker, plus I have B2 skills in Italian and French. I graduated in English Literature from the New School in New York and then took a Master of Journalism at Columbia University (also in New York). I teach English for a part-time language school in Milan, and I write articles for American newspapers. I received a TEFL certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).

I can therefore take care of drafting university papers in English, as well as degree theses and helping people of all levels who want to study my language. I prepare and have already prepared students who want to pass the Oxford and Cambridge tests, the TOEFL, the IELTS and the Gre. My method consists in adapting each lesson to the personal needs of each student.

Perfect! Una persona seria e qualificata. Il curriculum in ambito giornalistico da un taglio molto particolare alle sue lezioni in cui viene focalizzata l'attenzione con un attenzione particolare all'impostazione del discorso e alla gestione dei vocaboli in modo molto preciso.

Colin è stato davvero un insegnante sorprendente. Avevo iniziato a fare qualche lezione con lui con l’idea di preparare il mio inglese prima di un lungo soggiorno all’esterno, ma ben presto Colin si è anche rivelato utile (e molto preparato) nella stesura dei saggi accademici che dovevo presentare. È aperto a tutti i tipi di esigenze e mi ha permesso di sentirmi davvero molto più confidente con la lingua, abituandomi a parlarla spesso e ad esprimermi propriamente. In più, ho anche imparato molte strategie di scrittura universitaria, cosa che si è rivelata altrettanto fondamentale.
