About Gina
I’m originally from Germany and I just finished my degree in Hamburg a few weeks ago, where I studied Education Studies with English as my first subject and Geography as my second subject. Teaching is truly the work that feels most natural to me. Right now, I’m working as a German Language Assistant at a high school, where I support students of all levels from complete beginners to advanced learners preparing for exams. I help them build confidence in speaking, understand tricky grammar, and use German in real-life situations. I love teaching because I get to watch students grow into a language that once felt impossible. I especially love working with kids and teenagers because you get to be part of their growth — not just in language, but as people. You see them try, fail, try again, and slowly build confidence in themselves. Watching them discover their strengths, become more independent, and find their own voice is incredibly rewarding. And the best part is that you often get that warmth and appreciation back. Those little moments where a student smiles at you, trusts you, or tells you they finally understood something make the whole job feel meaningful. During my studies, I worked at a German school to gain as much teaching experience as possible. It gave me a chance to work closely with students of different ages and backgrounds and learn what they struggle with or what motivates them.

I have now had multiple lessons with Gina. The lessons I have had have been well tailored to my needs and weaknesses. They are a good balance in difficulty for me where they are not too easy so I don't gain enough and not too difficult that I am demotivated. Gina clearly has a passion for teaching and it shows in each lesson.
