About Florence
Hi, I'm a Latin student in my last year of A-levels and I thought, having come so far, it was time to start helping younger people get to grips with some Latin grammar! This wonderful subject is so useful in so many ways, helping your problem-solving and critical thinking skills. However, nobody finds it easy! The more people that can be inspired by Latin texts and Latin writers, the more we can keep this amazing subject alive.

Using stories and tales of Roman generals through to the Roman gods as vehicles for grammar practice, Latin can be great fun and really interesting! I offer a 40-minute Zoom lesson for anyone interested in which I annotate Latin passages at the appropriate level in real time and take my students through a mixture of grammar exercises and translations.

Florence's passion and patience really shine through in her teaching, she's fantastic at breaking down and explaining difficult concepts. I've seen the effort that she puts into her lesson plans - she's intelligent, caring, and I would highly recommend her as a tutor.
