About Jiyeon
Hello, I'm Jiyeon Ryu. Although I began my art journey later in life, I followed my passion and graduated from the Royal College of Art last year. I currently work from my private studio near Sloane Square, just off Kings Road in London. I’ve also taught maths and chemistry for many years in Korea, run an academic tutoring centre, and worked as a maths/science teacher at an international school in Malaysia. So I’m very comfortable working with students and helping them stay focused and motivated—especially teen.

I'm offering personalised art lessons for: – Teenagers exploring art as a hobby – Students preparing a portfolio for art school – Anyone who wants to learn at their own pace in a welcoming, supportive space Lesson Details Location: Private studio near Kings Road or home visits available within London Spacious, quiet, and well-equipped with oil, acrylic, charcoal and other materials Beginners can use studio materials at first Lessons available in Korean or English What I Teach – Especially for Teenagers: How to build confidence through observational drawing and sketching techniques Understanding light, shadow, and proportion Exploring composition and storytelling through images Experimenting with various materials (oil, acrylic, charcoal) How to develop a personal style and reflect ideas visually Support with GCSE, A-Level, or portfolio preparation if needed. Whether you're just starting out, Or preparing for art school, Or want to visit the studio first—you're warmly welcome.
