About Ben
Hello, my name's Ben. I studied physics, maths and chemistry at A-level and got an AS in further maths. I went on to study aerospace engineering at the University of Sheffield and graduated with a first this year, and I now work as a research engineer at GKN Aerospace.
Maybe STEM is your passion, or maybe you just want somebody who can break down difficult concepts and make them understandable. Either way, I can help you to approach scientific concepts with confidence. I can also talk to you about university admissions, studying engineering (including my experiences with engineering societies, years abroad etc.), as well as offering an honest dialogue on careers beyond university.

I believe the best way to learn is to ensure that concepts actually make sense, rather than just memorising formulae. A lesson would consist of reviewing completed work, identifying knowledge gaps, and finding intuitive ways of approaching these concepts so that they make sense in future. Once this is established, memorising the formulae will be much easier. Work smarter, not harder!
A lesson would typically take about an hour, but I appreciate that everyone learns at different rates and I can be flexible to your needs.
My lessons are up to A-Level; I will be able to teach subjects I studied to A-Level at GCSE level as well, and engineering concepts beyond A-Level.
