About Chiara
Advertising is the intersection of creativity, psychology, culture and business strategy. Exceptional design is not created by chance, it is the result of rigorous research, critical thinking and the ability to transform complex insights into compelling communication.
I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Advertising Design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (School of Design) on a full academic scholarship, and was recognized on the Dean’s List for academic excellence. During my studies, I was also selected as a finalist in AIA’s Mad Starts competition, an experience that further strengthened my passion for strategic creativity and innovation.
Following graduation, I established my career in Hong Kong’s luxury branding and advertising industry, where I progressed from Copywriter to Lead Copywriter and Brand & Narrative Strategist. Working within a multidisciplinary creative agency, I contributed to the development of integrated brand strategies, verbal identities, launch campaigns, presentation narratives and marketing communications for luxury real estate and hospitality developments across Asia.
One of the milestones I am most proud of was becoming the youngest member of my company entrusted with presenting strategic proposals directly to CEOs and chairmen. That opportunity reflected not only creative ability, but also the capacity to think strategically, communicate complex ideas with clarity and defend creative decisions at the highest executive level.
My teaching reflects the same philosophy.
Rather than focusing exclusively on design software or aesthetics, I help students understand how advertising works as a strategic discipline. We explore consumer psychology, behavioral insights, market segmentation, brand positioning, semiotics, communication theory, visual rhetoric, storytelling, persuasive messaging and creative strategy—the frameworks that underpin effective campaigns.
Students learn how to:
* Translate business challenges into creative opportunities.
* Develop insight-driven concepts rather than superficial ideas.
* Build coherent brand positioning and communication strategies.
* Justify every design decision using strategic reasoning.
* Present and defend creative work with confidence.
* Think like creative strategists, not simply designers.
Great advertising is never decoration, it is the deliberate orchestration of strategy, creativity and human insight to shape perception, influence behavior and create enduring brand value.

Creativity alone is not enough. The most successful designers understand strategy, psychology, branding and business.
I am a BA (Hons) Advertising Design graduate from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (School of Design), with professional experience in branding, advertising and creative strategy across luxury real estate, hospitality and lifestyle sectors in Asia and Europe.
My teaching goes beyond software or aesthetics. Students learn how to think like strategists, developing the ability to identify business problems, uncover consumer insights and translate them into compelling creative solutions. Every lesson is designed to strengthen both creative execution and strategic reasoning, the skills expected by leading agencies, in-house creative teams and global brands.
