About Aven
I have 10 years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in String Performance. My academic studies included advanced technique refinement, music interpretation, ensemble performance, and structured practice planning. This foundation allows me to design progressive lessons that ensure steady and measurable improvement.
I have mentored beginners building foundational skills and advanced students preparing for auditions and recitals. I believe that disciplined practice, constructive feedback, and patient encouragement are essential for long-term success. My teaching approach is organized, supportive, and goal-oriented.

My violin lessons focus on developing precise intonation, smooth bow control, balanced posture, and expressive musical phrasing. At the start of instruction, I carefully assess shoulder alignment, chin rest adjustment, bow grip flexibility, wrist movement, and finger placement accuracy. Establishing correct physical alignment ensures relaxed performance and consistent tonal quality. We begin with open-string bow exercises to build sound stability and tone consistency, followed by slow scale practice to strengthen pitch awareness and left-hand coordination. I clearly explain how bow speed, pressure, and contact point affect tonal richness and clarity.
As students progress, we introduce shifting techniques, vibrato development, string crossing coordination, articulation refinement, and dynamic contrast practice. Musical repertoire is selected based on ability level and long-term goals. We analyze phrasing, tempo control, stylistic interpretation, and expressive communication. Detailed correction and structured repetition reinforce both technical precision and artistic growth.
In advanced development stages, I emphasize recital preparation, memorization strategies, endurance building, and stage presence training. Students learn how to manage performance anxiety, maintain concentration under pressure, and deliver emotionally engaging interpretations. Simulated performance sessions strengthen confidence and consistency. My ultimate goal is to cultivate violinists who demonstrate technical mastery, expressive maturity, and strong self-confidence in both academic and professional performance environments.
