About Alan

I've coached myself to advanced levels of relative strength, like a 100lb weighted chin-up, 135lb weighted dip, one-arm chin-up, 10sec front lever. I've spent countless hours consuming fitness content so I know how much of it is just trends, cash-grabs, low-effort slop, or not individualized. Even though my personal goals are relative strength, speed, and skill, I know a lot about powerlifting, bodybuilding, and other similar areas as well.
I have a deep understanding of holistic fitness models such as ECM and PRI. I also learn about and have utilized powerful practices like mewing/myofunctional therapy.
On my own journey, I fixed issues such as plantar fasciitis, sciatica, mouth breathing, etc. and am successfully changing my rounded shoulders, forward head (swayback), lifting my upper ribs/collapsed sternum, limited hip mobility, etc.

To improve the body, we apply stimulus (exercise) to force adaptation (lose fat, build muscle, gain strength, remove pain, etc). Adaptation should be the priority, but the fitness industry focuses too much on the stimulus: endless searching for the "best" exercise, 'no pain no gain' unsustainable attitude, and other wastes of time. Or it tries to sell shortcuts to adaptation that may or may not work.
Finding the appropriate stimulus takes a bit of trial and error for everyone; similarly, adaptation depends on factors such as sleep, diet, and habits. I simply teach you how to work with your body in an attempt to maximize adaptation toward your goals.
I offer personalized form critique, design exercise programs (that we can adjust in an attempt to figure out a good stimulus/adaptation ratio), and share a vast amount of helpful resources.
This approach works for anyone, since all humans share the same high level of adaptability that made us this planet's dominant species :)
