About Poppy
I am a highly experienced computer programming tutor with 8 years of teaching experience across school and university levels. I have successfully mentored over 350 students, helping them build strong programming skills and achieve academic success. I teach Java, C programming, SQL, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming with a practical and clear approach.
My teaching philosophy focuses on clarity, consistency, and real-world application. I believe students learn best when concepts are explained in a simple and structured way. I use real-life examples and practical coding exercises to make learning meaningful and engaging. I also focus on developing strong problem-solving skills and independent thinking.
I am known for being dedicated, approachable, and flexible in my teaching style. I adjust my methods based on each student’s learning needs and pace. My teaching approach in computer programming is structured, practical, and focused on deep understanding. I teach Java along with key subjects such as Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, SQL, System Design basics, and Web Development fundamentals. I connect every concept with real-life examples so students understand how programming works in real systems. I also use detailed case studies to explain problem-solving in a clear and logical way.
I focus strongly on building a solid foundation before introducing advanced topics. I explain concepts step by step using simple language so students never feel lost. I emphasize problem-solving by giving coding exercises that improve logical thinking and analytical skills. I guide students carefully but also encourage them to explore solutions independently.
