About Dean
A typical session sounds like the soft click of an accent being placed exactly right. We focus on conversational fluency and travel French. Accent and intonation are central to our work together. Verb conjugation happens as we discuss current events.
Reading comprehension helps bridge the gap between simple speech and formal writing. We review weekly conversation recordings together to pinpoint specific sounds. My degree from Middlebury College ensures a high standard of linguistic accuracy.

Languages are often treated as subjects to be memorized, but I view them as tools for connection. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages from Middlebury College and work as a professional translator.
My background allows me to help conversation focused learners and professionals navigate complex linguistic barriers. I frequently work with immigrant families where we might be starting French while refining English or Spanish. Helping someone master the specific liaison and nasal sounds of French requires a patient ear.
