About Ava
As I stated before, I work with students who may have dyslexia, dyscalculia, or students who have a harder time speaking English. I've done this with students in my school for a while now, and it made me realize how much I loved teaching. And how happy it makes me feel when someone I taught finally understands a topic. I'd also like to add that I'm very outgoing but like to keep others comfortable. I love to make connections, but I won't ask for any personal information that doesn't apply to the lesson. Overall, I'd love to help others get better at Mathematics and show them that you can learn anything. Even when you feel like it's too hard.

I teach through one-on-one explanations and assignments to tutor. Creating my own worksheets that can be printed or worked on online with others. I work well with students with dyslexia and dyscalculia, as well as transfer students, even if they might need more time to grasp the concept. I typically explain the original lesson in greater detail and go over problems once with them and once by themselves to see if they picked up what I put down. These lessons are for anyone grade 1 to 8.
