About ChaunD
I am a Law and Psychology graduate from the University of Pretoria, currently pursuing my LLB. My academic and professional life has been built on the mastery of the English language—both as a tool for legal precision and as a medium for creative expression.
I studied English Literature for two years at the university level, which sharpened my ability to analyze text and communicate complex ideas clearly.
I am a dedicated writer of novels, short stories, and poetry. My work in playwriting has been recognized with awards at the national level, giving me a deep, practical understanding of how language works "on the page and on the stage."
Communication is my greatest strength. I participated in public speaking for 12 years throughout my schooling and expanded those skills into the competitive worlds of High School Debate and University Moot Court.
I bring a unique blend of creative passion and legal logic to my tutoring. I believe that every student has the capacity for eloquence, and I am committed to helping you find your voice, improve your grades, and master the art of the English language.

My lessons are designed to transform English from a school subject into a powerful tool for expression and analysis. Whether you are struggling with Shakespeare, refining your creative writing, or preparing for a high-stakes speech, I provide a structured and professional environment to help you excel.
What we cover:
- Literature Analysis: Having studied English Literature for two years at the University of Pretoria during my BA Law degree, I help students dissect complex texts, identify themes, and write sophisticated literary essays.
- Creative Writing: As a writer of poetry, plays, and short stories, I mentor students on narrative structure, voice, and stylistic flair.
- Public Speaking & Debate: With 12 years of public speaking experience and a background in both High School Debate and University Moot Court, I coach students on rhetoric, vocal delivery, and the art of persuasion.
- Academic Writing: I specialize in teaching students how to move away from "basic" English and toward the professional, analytical writing style required at the IEB and University levels.
