About Stephanie
"Beginners and advanced players often feel overwhelmed by standard music instruction. I sat in a dimly lit studio for 12 years recording records, only to realize that traditional theory often ignores the way neurodivergent brains process sound. My Bachelor of Arts in Modern Music from the Los Angeles College of Music gives me the tools to break down complex theory into visual, kinesthetic patterns.
Teaching across 7 bands and touring North America taught me that real playing happens in the gut, not just on a page. My practice is built to be patient and playful because music should never feel like a chore.
You deserve a mentor who understands that ear focused instruction is just as valid as standard notation. I have spent my career refining how I explain these concepts to make sure everyone finds their groove. Most of my students appreciate that I keep things moving without getting bogged down in rigid, unnecessary rules. Outside of the studio, I spend my time finding new ways to make fretboards feel like home."
