About Harold
I am a student at the University of Pretoria studying actuarial science, and I have been tutoring Maths and Physical Science for 8 years. I have helped dozens of learners achieve their respective academic goals, each time my aim is to show them that they are capable of achieving above what they initially set for themselves and as a result, I have helped a couple achieve distinctions in their final exams, and I am extremely proud of that as it reassures me that with the right mindset anything is possible.

Failure to understand something or to use our knowledge to answer a question does not mean we are stupid or anything along those lines, it only means that a different approach is needed in terms of how we learn and answer questions. It is important that I make this clear to the students as early as possible because mindset is everything, and it is also my job to guide them through the different methods of doing things and build their confidence. I aim to ground my lessons into something students are already familiar with in order for them to make those connections that will help them retrieve the information when they need to use it in a test or exam.

Harold is a very driven individual that really prides himself in the state of education of our country and the well being of his students. He is able to guide the student/learner to understand the concepts at hand with great ease. Very efficient and creative with his teaching! i love how patient he is with my niece. He makes it his job to follow through personally to his learners progress, giving in extra hours and attention.
