About Shannon
My background is in performance, voice, and text, and I’ve developed a strong interest in using drama as a tool for communication and confidence-building.
I want to teach because I’ve seen how powerful performance techniques can be in helping people find their voice in English. Language learning is not just about accuracy—it’s about confidence, presence, and expression. Drama creates a space where students can experiment, make mistakes, and improve naturally through doing.
My goal is to help students feel more comfortable and expressive when speaking English, whether for everyday conversation, study, work, or performance. I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and levels, and supporting them as they grow in confidence and clarity.

My tutoring approach is practical, interactive, and tailored to each student. I use drama-based techniques from my MA Acting training at Arts Educational Schools London (ArtsEd), including improvisation, role-play, and script work to build confidence, fluency, and natural spoken English.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and focus on real communication, pronunciation, and expression in a supportive, hands-on environment where students learn by doing.
I hold an MA in Acting and have professional training in voice, text, and performance. My experience helps me support both language learning and confidence-building.
My lessons are for teenagers and adults of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners, as well as actors preparing for auditions or drama school.
