About Stephan
Hello everyone! My name is Stephan Monette, and I would be delighted to help you with your linguistic goals! I am a native English speaker currently living in Quebec; however, I hail from Ottawa.
With 25 years of experience teaching Business English, I’ve taught professionals at all levels of management for major banks, corporations, and government institutions in Brazil, Turkey, Russia, Germany, Mexico, and Canada—including MP's (members of parliament) and their staff for the House of Commons of the Parliament of Canada. In addition to working with the Federal Government of Canada, I also have extensive experience teaching employees and directors of municipal and provincial governments.
I’m CERTESL-certified (University of Saskatchewan, 250-hour CERTESL program), with TESOL and a TESOL Business English Seal. My lessons are practical, personalized, and results-driven. I also offer expert test preparation for Public Service Commission's Second Language Evaluations (Levels B & C), TOEFL, and TOEIC. Whether you're a professional or public servant, I’ll help you build the confidence and skills to succeed in real-world communication and high-stakes exams.
On a personal note, I’m an extremely friendly and personable, curious and adventurous individual with a passion for traveling, learning about new cultures, and connecting with people. I enjoy sailing, reading, and staying active through weight training and endurance activities. I’m driven by curiosity and a love for continuous growth, both personally, culturally, and professionally.
