About Oisin
Hi, my name is Oisín and I am a trainee accountant currently studying my CAP2 exams. I have a degree in Accounting and Finance from DCU. I have previous experience in teaching grinds during my time in university to first-year Accounting and Finance students at a college level and received high grades throughout my studies. I have a strong passion for accounting and love to help others overcome their difficulties, whether it be management accounting, financial accounting, taxation or finance and I am happy to help students at all education levels, whether that be College or Leaving Certificate, including CAP1's.

I have years of experience in tutoring, this includes both secondary level and college level. I take an exam-based approach and consult with the student in order to find the areas they struggle in, but also the areas they aren't finding as difficult, but where they may be leaving marks on the table. I have found that by not only focusing on the weak areas students can boost their grade by simply changing their technique in the areas which they are stronger. I approach the weaker areas by determining the exam importance and prioritizing them as such in order to maximize the value of their study by how the exam is weighted.

Oisín gave me maths grinds throughout 6th year after I didn’t do well in my mocks. He helped me understand areas that were holding me back and how to view questions in an exam situation. This all helped a lot during the leaving cert
Oisín had helped me with accounting during my leaving Cert and since starting with him my grades improved massively, he helped me realise where I was missing marks and was exam focused. Since beginning college I have contacted him afew times to help me with some of my modules and he has always been happy to help and explain everything ti me. Highly highly recommend Oisín
Oisín gave grinds to my son for his accounting class in preparation of the Leaving Cert. He got to understand what issues my son was having and focused on these to help him gain confidence in the subject, as well as tailoring a study plan for him which greatly improved his grade in the final leaving cert exam compared to his previous mocks and Christmas exams.
