About Cassie
Hi! My name is Cassie, and I am a junior at Clemson University pursuing degrees in Finance and Accounting. I have experience tutoring students in courses such as Intermediate Financial Accounting II, Microeconomics, and Business Statistics, and I currently serve as a Teaching Assistant for Business Statistics.
Being both a tutor and a TA has given me insight into the challenges students face and the expectations instructors have, allowing me to help students learn more effectively and build confidence in their abilities. In addition, I have worked as a Teacher's Aide in an elementary summer school program, where I learned the importance of adapting my teaching style to fit each student's individual needs. I bring that same personalized approach to tutoring and strive to make complex concepts easier to understand.

I tailor each lesson to the individual student's needs. I begin by assessing their current understanding of the material and identifying any areas where they may be struggling. From there, we review concepts covered in class, focusing on topics that need additional clarification or practice.
Once the student feels comfortable with the material, we work through practice problems together, gradually increasing the difficulty to build both understanding and confidence. I also provide optional problems for students to complete on their own if they would like extra practice between sessions. My goal is not only to help students succeed in their courses but also to develop a strong understanding of the concepts behind the material.
