About Gerardo
In my career I have found opportunities to develop or redesign tools, such as spreadsheets or reports, which let me automate and simplify but most important verify and reduce errors that could exist on my activities. By the use of this tools, I have also been able to reduce the time needed on such activities. To achieve this, it has been necessary to understand the process, identify every possibility in order to design a solution to every possible result. When developing a report or a spreadsheet to automate an activity, accounting standards and tax laws have been observed to ensure that the information obtained comply with applicable regulations.

With over 10 years of experience in the accounting departments (Accounting manager since 2013) I have found some challenges with the adoption of IFRS. Sometimes it is very subjective and some help would have been useful. Also, the basic comprehension of the accounting theory could be challenging for first timers and inexperienced students.
