About Mohammed Jabhar
Struggling with Maths doesn’t mean you’re bad at Maths. You probably just haven’t been taught it in the way that works for you yet.
I’m a qualified British-curriculum teacher with experience teaching Maths across the UK and UAE, and I specialise in helping students who have lost confidence, fallen behind, or simply feel like Maths “doesn’t make sense”.
My lessons are personalised, structured and genuinely student-centred. I don’t believe in simply working through worksheets and hoping something sticks. I first identify why a student is struggling, then build from that point.
What you can expect from my lessons * Personalised teaching based on your child’s actual gaps
* Clear explanations without unnecessary jargon
* Confidence-building alongside academic progress
* Exam and assessment preparation
* Support with homework and schoolwork
* Challenging work for students who want to push further
* A calm, encouraging environment where students can make mistakes without feeling embarrassed
* Regular AFL-style questioning to make sure understanding is genuine — not just memorised
I teach students from KS2 through GCSE, and I have particular experience working with students who need a little more patience, structure and individual attention than a typical classroom can provide.
As a qualified teacher rather than simply a subject tutor, I understand what happens inside the classroom — curriculum expectations, misconceptions, assessment, progression and the reasons students often get stuck. I also have experience teaching students from different backgrounds and with different learning needs, so I’m used to finding alternative ways to explain the same concept until it clicks.

Jabhar tutored my sons in Dubai, we were looking for in person tutors which he initially began as but when we trialled an online lesson his iPad work to model questions and answers were so easy to understand.
Highly recommendedI have my two children tutored by Mohammed, Their grades and confidence have both improved so much since starting tutoring with him. They find him relatable and say that he explains the work in ways they find easy to understand.
He tailors it to their learning styles and the school have also commented on the improvement in their work. He is patient and works with them to reach their goals as efficiently as possible.Jabhar was really great.
Honestly at first we weren’t sure we could justify the fees, but we watched our child transform from someone within their shell to a confident young person with belief in what they are saying, not only that he kept in regular contact with parent meetings and emails which he didn’t have to do.
A great example of what a teacher should be.View more recommendations
