About Jasmin
Hi! My name is Jingyi (Jasmin) Wang, and I’m a first-year Doctor of Dental Medicine student at the University of Sydney. I achieved a 99.80 ATAR and scored in the 99th percentile on the UCAT (3240). I received all interviews I applied for, with acceptances into UQ, UWA, UNSW and UAdelaide Medicine and USYD, UAdelaide Dentistry. I'm an enthusiastic tutor with over two years of experience. As a MedEntry Scholar and Ambassador, I’m passionate about sharing strategies to help others succeed in their UCAT and Medical Interview Journey.

Preparing for the UCAT can be daunting, but with the right guidance and support, success is absolutely achievable. My tutoring approach is centred on motivating students to reach their potential, tailoring lessons to suit individual needs, and creating a positive, supportive learning environment.
From my own experience, I understand the challenges of tackling the UCAT. I prepared for the exam independently in just three months, making mistakes along the way but discovering efficient techniques to maximise results. This journey has shaped my teaching philosophy: anyone can excel at the UCAT with the right mindset, strategies, and encouragement.
Every student is unique, which is why my lessons are highly personalised. Whether you're struggling with time pressure, accuracy, or specific subtests, I will adapt my teaching to address your specific challenges and build your confidence. My aim is not just to teach you the skills you need but to help you believe in your ability to succeed.

Perfect! Jas was really kind and patient with me. She paid close attention to the areas I was struggling with and took notes to help guide our sessions. She was very attentive and together we made a clear plan for how I’m going to prepare because I was feeling really lost. She made sure I felt comfortable and calm throughout the lesson and she was incredibly supportive and sweet. Perfect! Jasmin is an excellent tutor. She helped me build a clear study plan, explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, and gave me helpful tips to make the most of both my study time and our lessons. She was friendly, organised, and I also really liked that she writes notes at the end of each session so you know exactly what to focus on after.

Perfect! Jas is a very good UCAT tutor who helped me tremendously. Her lessons are very structured with plenty of time for feedback and review. During the lesson she helped me develop my strategies for finishing each section quicker with more accuracy and provided me with detailed notes from each lesson we had that helped me when I was preparing for my exam. Would definitely recommend her for whether you are refining your skills or starting from scratch.

Perfect! I have done several interview preparation lessons with Jasmin, which she provided many useful feedbacks and other extra material to help me prepare and perform better. The classes ran smoothly and I find the feedbacks handy to improve my interview skills quickly.
Perfect! I think Jasmin is an excellent tutor. Her introductory lesson consists of a few practice sets, so she can attentively analyze your entire approach and give you personalized feedback in the form of tips and suggestions to optimize your performance. These tweaks are not too major and they allow your personal technique to flourish, rather than forcing a completely new and unfamiliar strategy on you. She is also very patient and nonjudgmental, congratulating growth and high scores while still pointing out areas for improvement.

Jasmin is an excellent teacher as she is patient, friendly and great at breaking by things down so they’re easy to understand. She shows genuine care when helping others learn and always puts in the effort to make sure they feel confident. I would strongly recommend her!
