About Riza
I have been practising martial arts and Karate in particular for more than 40+ years. I have been teaching Karate for children as well as adults since the 80s one on one or general classes. This includes various practical self-defence techniques.

Shotokan Karate is a traditional Japanese martial art known for developing strong technique, discipline, and lasting confidence. My lessons are suitable for adults and children, and are designed to help you improve fitness, coordination, focus, and self-defence skills in a supportive and enjoyable environment. I teach Karate as a complete path — not just kicks and punches. You will learn the core values of respect, self-control, and perseverance, which naturally strengthen your mindset both in day-to-day life. My approach blends technical precision with patience and encouragement, so you can progress confidently at your own pace. Every lesson is fully personalised. Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone returning to Karate after a break, I tailor each session to your goals, abilities, and learning style.
Beginners will work through structured fundamentals such as Kihon (basic techniques) and Kata (forms), while more experienced students will refine technique, improve power and accuracy, and deepen their understanding of traditional Karate principles. With focused one-to-one tuition, you receive the same level of detail, correction, and guidance normally reserved for advanced students — ensuring rapid improvement, safer practice, and a strong technical foundation.
