About Jaci
I've had tutoring over a subject I'm not very good at and I didn't have a great tutor, therefore I didn't learn as much as I should've. I know what a tutor should do in order to make the student feel heard and to provide as much support and help the student needs. No one really wants to be tutored, so I want to help the student succeed so they can go on with their other school activities and not worry about tutoring longer than they need to. I believe every student has the capabilities to succeed in class, some just may need a little more help.

Strategies that have worked for me as a college student that I like to implement with other students include:
- As I discuss a topic, I regularly check in to see if the student is grasping what I'm teaching.
- To make sure they're grasping the lesson I have them reexplain in different words.
- etc.
I have a fairly flexible schedule this semester, with all my classes ending by 2:00.
I can assist with any grade level of phonetics, middle school English, K-12 grammar
