About Andrew
I study Astrophysics at the University of Edinburgh, drawing from my studies and experience sitting SQA exams to help students in their final years prepare for exams. I have privately prepared over 10 students for their SQA /QS exams over the past four years, from National 5 to Advanced Higher level in both Physics and Maths. I create open learning environments with an emphasis on problem solving, and have always fostered healthy bonds with my students, who have invariably achieved or surpassed their ambitions in the subject.

A good lesson requires an environment in which the student feels safe to ask questions. I always start a lesson by asking about material covered in class and whether anything had come up that was unclear, and as we go forward I often take the student through past papers to familiarise them with exam material. I am comfortable introducing new material, sometimes working ahead of learnt material in more lecture-style lessons.

Perfect! Andrew was very skilled at understanding how I learned and adapted his lessons to suit me. My teacher wasn’t great at explaining the topics so I relied on Andrew to fill in the gaps. I highly recommend him for anyone struggling with Maths or Physics

Really great tutor for National 5 maths and applications of maths. Sessions are very engaging and descriptive of what you’re struggling with. Helped me a massive amount through study leave. Knows what he’s doing and is affordable
Andrew helped me throughout my higher maths journey and he made my final score increase by 45% from the prelim. He is very kind and always very helpful when explaining topics that I found more difficult. I recommend him to all maths students and anyone needing assistance in their maths journey.
