About Marcela
I was a student that found it really hard to understand maths. I never felt like topics ‘clicked’ and I was never able to grasp concepts straightaway. Consequently, I began to think maybe maths isn’t something I’ll ever be able to fully comprehend. However, with hard work and the help of amazing teachers along the way, my understand and as such, passion for maths began to grow! Now I am a strong advocate in instilling the necessary tools to allow every child to thrive and never feel as if they are incapable of learning something, just because they’re not immediately great at it.

I am passionate about teaching, especially younger children in being able to tackle the complexities of mathematics. I provide lesson plans that aim to break down complex concepts into simpler, more digestible parts. My patience and understanding also allows me to connect with students on their level, fostering a supportive learning environment. I like to think that my enthusiasm for math is contagious, inspiring students to engage with the subject and build confidence in their abilities!

Marcela has tutored my 9 year old daughter Eve for a few weeks now. Eve needed lots of help with her times tables and understanding worded problems. I am already so impressed with the progress they have made. Marcela makes learning fun in a way that Eve has really responded too and I am already seeing an improvement in her confidence and attitude towards learning.
Marcela is such an amazing tutor. She is patient, full of energy, and has really unique ways of explaining concepts. She helped me improve my grades so much, best tutor I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend Marcela.
