About Emma
I am a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student with a strong background in maths and physics. I want to tutor because I understand that classroom teaching doesn’t always suit every student, and studying can sometimes feel overwhelming. As someone who benefited from having concepts explained in a clearer, more personal way, I aim to provide supportive, patient guidance to help students build confidence and achieve the best results they can.

I focus on breaking down difficult topics into clear, simple steps and building strong foundations before moving on to practice questions and exam technique. I encourage students to ask questions so we can identify and improve weaker areas.
Lessons are usually 1 hour long. As a 4th year Mechanical Engineering student, I regularly use maths and physics in my degree, which helps me explain both the methods and the reasoning behind them.
Lessons are aimed at National 5 secondary school students who want extra support, revision help, or to boost their exam performance.
