About Finley
I am close to finishing my maths degree at the University of Bath, working towards a probable 1st class degree! I have experience tutoring several GCSE maths students and in most cases helped them achieve considerably higher than their predicted grades, one student I tutored was predicted a grade 3 and got a grade 6 in his final exam. This took approximately 1 hour of tutoring per week, for a period of about 2-3 months, for reference :) I am an expert in every general branch of maths, so anything from Algebra to mechanics can be requested! I also achieved A* grades in both maths and further maths A-level.

I feel the best way to be able to get very very good at a specific mathematical skill is to understand the processes working behind it, and use this to see why we are allowed to use a certain function or identity etc. I also believe the best way to get to this point is by repetition of a certain process, as the more times you do a style of question, not only will you remember it better, your understanding of the deeper mathematical processes behind it grows.

Finley is very good at explaining points. Is enthusiastic and makes maths interesting even though it is not. Hard working and would take car in ensuring that students like myself get the grade they deserve would 100% recommend to anyone. Fabulous!
Finley helped me with my GSCEs and got me from a grade 3 to a 6 in 3 months. He is very dedicated as he gave me extra work to complete after the session was done to further my knowledge on the topic. Finley is very friendly and approachable, when I asked him questions he broke it down how to work out the equations step by step. He is also patient, he will not rush you to learn a topic and will work at your pace.

£20 per hour in person £15 per hour for remote online tutoring (preferred for COVID and travel related issues) Purchasing a block of 5 to 10 hours will reduce my hourly cost, so please do consider this! I am happy to intermittently provide various practice questions and material in between lessons for free, so long as the following lesson is already paid for :)
