About Clayton
I am a passionate and dedicated 3rd-year Bachelor of Education student with a Higher Certificate in Education and 2 years of tutoring experience. I currently tutor Mathematics and English for Intermediate Phase learners (Grades 4–7), helping students build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve better academic results.
My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and learner-centered. I understand that every child learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit each learner’s individual needs and learning style. I focus on creating a positive and comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and participate actively.
I am proficient in both English and Afrikaans and can teach in either language depending on the learner’s preference. My lessons include clear explanations, step-by-step guidance, interactive activities, homework support, and preparation for tests and exams. I aim not only to improve marks but also to help learners develop confidence and independent learning skills.
Students and parents can expect professionalism, reliability, and lessons that are engaging, structured, and tailored to the learner’s goals. Whether a student needs extra support with foundational concepts or wants to strengthen their overall performance, I am committed to helping them reach their full potential.

My approach to tutoring is learner-centered, patient, and supportive. I believe every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to suit each learner’s pace, strengths, and areas of difficulty. I focus on building confidence while helping learners fully understand concepts instead of simply memorizing work. I use clear explanations, examples from everyday life, practice activities, and interactive problem-solving to make lessons engaging and easy to follow.
What makes me unique as a tutor is my ability to create a comfortable learning environment where learners feel encouraged to ask questions and make mistakes without fear. I aim to make learning enjoyable while also helping students improve academically and become more independent in their studies.
I am proficient in English and Afrikaans and am able to teach in both languages depending on the learner’s preference and needs.
