About Theresa Jihad
I’m a 3rd year medical student at UTAS.
I have a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals. I love being a tutor because I get to make a positive impact on my students' lives by helping them overcome academic challenges and build their confidence in their abilities.
One of the most rewarding aspects of tutoring is seeing my students make progress and achieve their goals. It is incredibly gratifying to witness the growth of their skills and knowledge and to know that I have played a role in their success.
Additionally, tutoring allows me to share my love for learning and inspire students to develop a lifelong love for education. I enjoy working with students of all ages and backgrounds and appreciate the opportunity to learn from them as well.
Overall, being a tutor is a fulfilling and enjoyable experience that allows me to make a difference in the lives of others while continuing to develop my own skills and knowledge.

I believe that the key to effective teaching is to use a variety of techniques that are tailored to the individual needs and learning styles of each student. My teaching style is student-centered, meaning that I focus on the learner's goals and interests and design the lessons accordingly.
I use a combination of methods, including visual aids, examples, demonstrations, and interactive activities to keep the lessons engaging and promote active learning. I also encourage students to ask questions and provide regular feedback to ensure that they understand the material.
The typical length of a lesson varies depending on the subject matter and the needs of the student. Generally, I recommend lessons of 60-90 minutes for most subjects, but shorter sessions of 30-45 minutes may be more appropriate for younger students or those who have difficulty concentrating for long periods.
