About Rugare
Hi, I'm a 3rd-year Electrical Engineering student at the University of Pretoria. Engineering is a demanding degree that relies heavily on strong Maths and Physics foundations, and maintaining two distinctions in these areas throughout my studies has kept those skills sharp and current.
I take tutoring seriously: I'm reliable, I prepare properly for every session, and I treat each student's time — and their parents' investment — with respect. I'm not a qualified teacher, but I bring a genuine understanding of these subjects and a real commitment to seeing students improve, not just get through the syllabus.

As a 3rd-year Electrical Engineering student at the University of Pretoria, I understand that Physics and Maths can feel overwhelming — especially when concepts build on each other quickly. My approach focuses on breaking problems down into clear, logical steps rather than memorised formulae, so students understand why something works, not just how to apply it. I bring a patient, personalised teaching style, adapting each lesson to how the individual student learns best.
Languages: Lessons are conducted in English.
What to expect from a lesson: Each session starts with a quick check of what the student is struggling with, followed by focused explanation and worked examples, then practice problems solved together so I can correct misunderstandings in real time. I also encourage students to ask questions freely — no question is "too basic."
Who my lessons are for: I teach Physics and Maths across all high school grades, from foundational concepts to exam-level problem-solving, whether a student needs help catching up or wants to push for higher marks. Lessons are available both online and in person.
