About Denisa
I am a 19-year-old individual with a passion for biology that has been with me since a young age. Growing up with a multicultural background, being half Romanian and half Persian, and living in Iran, Romania, and the UK, I have been exposed to diverse educational systems and approaches. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the importance of education in breaking the cycle of poverty. Education has been my ticket to escape poverty during my early years. It has empowered me to broaden my horizons and pursue higher education, currently being a second-year university student. My love for biology has been a driving force in my academic journey, and I am eager to share this enthusiasm with others. As an online tutor, my goal extends beyond teaching the subject matter. I aspire to instil a love for learning in my students, enabling them to develop a lifelong curiosity and passion for knowledge. By fostering an environment of acceptance and appreciation for science, I hope to contribute to creating a world that embraces scientific thinking and its positive impact on society. In my tutoring sessions, I incorporate my diverse educational experiences to adapt and accommodate the needs of each student. Drawing upon the knowledge I gained from different cultures, I aim to provide a unique and engaging learning experience. By connecting biology to real-life applications and utilising interactive techniques, I strive to make the subject captivating and relatable. Overall, my personal journey, combined with my multicultural background and love for biology, drives me to make a difference in the lives of students. Through education, I aim to empower individuals, break barriers, and create a more accepting and scientifically literate world.

My teaching methodology revolves around creating an interactive and student-centred learning environment. I customise lesson plans to meet individual needs, incorporating techniques such as: Visual and Interactive Learning: I utilise multimedia resources and visual aids to make complex concepts more tangible and engaging, catering to various learning preferences. Real-world Connections: I demonstrate the practical applications of biology by relating it to real-life scenarios, enhancing understanding and fostering interest. Active Learning: Through discussions, problem-solving exercises, and hands-on activities, I encourage students to actively engage with the subject, fostering critical thinking and retention. Typical Lesson Length: Each lesson's duration is flexible, depending on the student's needs and preferences. Lessons can range from 30 minutes to 1 hour, ensuring comprehensive coverage without overwhelming the student. Qualifications/Experience: As a first-class university student, I possess a strong academic foundation and A-level qualifications in biology. However, it is my commitment to continuous learning and passion for teaching that truly define my qualifications as a tutor. Target Audience: My lessons cater to students of all ages and academic levels, from school to university. I adapt my teaching style to meet the unique needs of each student, aiming to inspire curiosity and excellence in biology. Together, we can unlock the wonders of biology, achieve academic success, and foster a lifelong love for the subject. Let's embark on this educational journey together!

Denisa is brilliant to work alongside. She always understood the work, and would be very happy to help others to bring their knowledge up. She knew exactly what to say and how to teach each person.
Denisa is a committed and passionate student, who is highly knowledgeable in the biology field and explains even advanced concepts in a clear and concise manner. As a friend of hers with no academic background in biology beyond GCSE level, she has made even university content easy to understand and digestible. I would highly recommend her as a tutor for anyone looking to improve their understanding of biology.
