About Chase
I have played and studied chess since childhood and now hold a 1700 rating on Chess.com, placing me among the top 1-2% of online players worldwide. Having navigated the ladder from a beginner level myself, I remember exactly what it feels like to hit frustrating rating plateaus and struggle with blunders.
Beyond my own play, I bring extensive experience as a patient, encouraging tutor. I focus on creating safe, low-stress environments where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. One of the most important aspects of Chess is your ability to learn and grow from mistakes. Instead of just telling you what to do, I help you gain the skills necessary to advance on your own.

Many beginners make the mistake of spending months memorizing deep opening theory, only to blunder pieces in the middlegame or draw winning endgames. My coaching uses a proven Endgame-First Methodology designed to give you instant clarity and fast rating growth.
Our 3-Phase Core Curriculum:
Phase 1: Endgame Mastery & Conversion — Learn essential checkmate patterns (Rook & Queen mates, King & Pawn activity) so you never throw away a winning position again.
Phase 2: The Opening Shield — Build a compact, reliable repertoire of 1–2 simple openings for White and Black so you exit the opening safely without memorizing endless theory.
Phase 3: Middle-Game Strategy & Tactics — Learn to spot tactical patterns, improve your piece activity, and convert middle-game advantages into straightforward, winning endgames.
A Typical 60-Minute Lesson:
First 15 Mins: Quick opening setup & student questions.
Main 45 Mins: Core endgame/tactical topic + personal game analysis.
Lessons are patient, structured, and adapted to your individual goals so you build real confidence at the board.
