About Eleni
I am a guitar tutor with 11 years of experience, holding an Associate Degree in Guitar Performance. I am passionate about helping students unlock their performance and creative potential. I have guided learners preparing for Rockschool, Trinity, and university-level guitar programs, tailoring lessons to meet their specific goals. My teaching covers a wide range of styles, from rock and blues to fingerstyle and contemporary techniques. I focus on building strong technique, musicality, and confidence in every student. Lessons are structured yet flexible, combining technical exercises with pieces that inspire and challenge. I emphasize ear training, improvisation, and expressive playing, encouraging students to develop their own musical voice. Whether you are a beginner or preparing for advanced examinations, I provide guidance, feedback, and motivation every step of the way. My teaching approach focuses on making guitar learning engaging, effective, and tailored to each student. I emphasize ergonomic technique to ensure comfort and prevent strain while practicing. Students start with open chords, power chords, and finger exercises to build strength, dexterity, and precision.
I incorporate ear training to help learners recognize chord progressions, melodies, and harmonies by ear. Music theory, including Roman Numeral Chord Nomenclature, is introduced gradually to support understanding of song structure and improvisation. Lessons are hands-on, interactive, and adapted to each student’s goals.
I guide students in developing consistent practice habits, combining technical exercises with songs they enjoy. Fingerstyle players and those focused on worship or performance receive targeted strategies to enhance expression and musicality. I provide step-by-step guidance, feedback, and encouragement to help students feel confident on the instrument.
Recording exercises and performance simulations are used to track progress and celebrate achievements. Lessons balance skill-building with creativity, so learning never feels repetitive. My approach ensures students excel technically, perform confidently, and develop a lasting passion for guitar.
